These terms apply to your use of rsdlt.dev (the “site”), a personal blog written and run by Rodrigo Santiago (“I”, “me”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Personal views only
Everything on this site is my personal opinion. It doesn’t represent the views, positions or policies of any current or former employer, client, or company I’m involved with.
I’m a co-founder of Foambyte, and I write about how it’s built. Posts about Foambyte are my own account as a builder. They aren’t official statements from Foambyte LLC, and they aren’t an offer or commitment on its behalf.
2. For information only, not professional advice
The content is for general information and education. It isn’t professional, legal, financial, security or engineering advice for your situation, and reading it doesn’t create any professional relationship between us.
Technology changes quickly. Posts reflect what I knew and used when I wrote them, and they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Some posts are written with the help of AI tools, and I review them before publishing, but they can still contain errors. Verify anything before you rely on it, and test any code, configuration or command in a safe environment before using it in production.
3. No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I don’t guarantee that the site will be available, secure or free of errors.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won’t be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, that arise from or relate to your use of the site or its content, including any code, even if I’ve been told such damages are possible.
Where liability can’t be excluded, my total liability for all claims related to the site is limited to US$50.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions or limits. In those places, they apply to the extent the law allows.
5. Your responsibility
You’re responsible for how you use the content. You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims, losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of the site or its content, or from your breach of these terms.
6. Copyright and reuse
Posts, text and images are © Rodrigo Santiago, all rights reserved, unless a post says otherwise. You may:
- Quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the original post.
- Link to any page.
You may not republish whole posts or substantial parts of them, or present them as your own, without my written permission.
Code snippets in posts are licensed under the MIT License, unless a post says otherwise. You can use, copy and modify them, including commercially. As the MIT License states, they come with no warranty of any kind, and I’m not liable for any claim or damage that arises from their use.
Third-party content such as images, quotes and logos belongs to its owners and is credited where it appears.
7. Search engines and AI systems
Search engines and AI assistants may index the site and cite or summarize its content, with attribution and a link to the source. The site publishes llms.txt for this purpose. This permission doesn’t extend to republishing posts in full or presenting them as someone else’s work.
8. Trademarks
Foambyte® is a registered trademark of Foambyte LLC. Other product names, logos and brands mentioned on the site belong to their owners. Mentioning them doesn’t imply endorsement by them or of them.
9. External links and services
The site links to websites and services I don’t control, including the share buttons for X, Bluesky and Threads. I’m not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and linking to them isn’t an endorsement. Their own terms apply when you use them.
10. Changes
I may update these terms at any time by posting a new version on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. I may also change or remove any content on the site without notice.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to the site or these terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If I don’t enforce a provision, that doesn’t waive my right to enforce it later. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and me about the site.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to me on LinkedIn.
